Coronavirus Financial Assistance Program Application Process:
It brings us with great sadness to announce that the SSF community is being impacted by the recent novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, ranging from students who had family members contract the virus to students being personally impacted. As a result, SSF has implemented a financial stipend that would better assist those impacted by the current Coronvirus outbreak. Therefore, if you are a prospective, former, or current applicant, and you have NOT been impacted by the Coronavirus or you are NOT experiencing visa issues as a result of the pandemic, you are not eligible for the stipend detailed on this page; however, you may be eligible for our traditional stipend, which can be found here.
CFAP STIPEND AMOUNT:
The CFAP stipend amount will vary and will depend on which scenario below applies to the applicant and the cost of airfare. The number of stipend offerings is not limited; we plan to help as many applicants as possible who fall into one of the scenarios below.
APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY/REQUIREMENTS/CRITERIA:
If you are a prospective or current applicant and have been financially or academically affected by the Coronavirus Pandemic, SSF would like to review your case and see if we could provide some assistance to ease your financial burden and/or help you return to your home country. Situations in which SSF is able to help are as follows:

In requiring you to return to Scandinavia, you are unable to afford airfare.
Please note: For each of the scenarios above, if you are approved for a CFAP stipend, a member of our team will assist you in the process of scheduling/purchasing airfare. You may not already have purchased airfare and apply for the CFAP stipend in attempt to get a refund for the cost of your flight.
