About Us:
The Scandinavian Stipend Foundation was founded in 2015 after it was determined that there was a lack of scholarships for international students, particularly those from the Scandinavian region. Reflecting on the love of Scandinavian culture, languages, and way of life, SSF was formed in order to financially help Scandinavians studying in the United States and Americans who study in Scandinavia.
The SSF leadership team currently operates the foundation as a volunteer-based hobby; moreover, the group self-funds the stipend and serves as the foundation's Board of Directors (BoD).
